Born with philosophy of developing high-quality DSP-based audio products at an affordable price, DigiTech got its start at the beginning of the digital audio revolution in 1984 and has gone on to pioneer many innovations in the music industry. In its first couple of years on the market, DigiTech blazed many new trails creating entirely new product categories such as the first multi-effects (DSP-128), looper/delay pedals (PDS-1002 and PDS-8000), and vocal harmony processors (VHM-5). In 1988 DigiTech delivered the Whammy Pedal, the pedal that completely revolutionized pitch shifting for guitar. The Whammy has been named as one of the top 5 most important guitar effects of all time. It can be heard on countless albums and helped solidify the DigiTech brand as a leader in the industry.

In the years following, DigiTech was responsible for more industry-first innovations including the RP-1, the first programmable guitar multi-effects floor processor. The RP-1 spawned a new category that DigiTech has proudly led and defined for more than 20 years. Today, the innovations continue with cutting edge products like the JamMan Solo XT, iPB-10 and the iStomp. Nearly 30 years in the making, DigiTech is still blazing new trails of innovation with products designed by musicians for musicians.
