The Drum Workshop Collector’s Series Oak drums are a musical statement all their own.

Contantly motivated to produce the most innovative and quality sound, Drum Workshop has introduced something new to their already famous Collectors Series line of drums: Pure Oak Shells. In response to the overhwelming popularity of the Romanian River Oak drums, a very limited production, DW has introduced Oak as a permanent staple of their already impressive sound arsenal. Oak provides a very warm, rounded tone with an incredible amount of projection. The rack toms feature 7-ply shells while the floor tom and bass drum features an 8-ply construction. These drums are pre-configured in one of DW’s patented HVTL (Horizontal/Verticle low timbre) grain orientation technologies. This system of shell construction creates less tention on the shell to produce an overall lower tone. These drums also feature thicker 1/32” individual plies, rather than the standard 1/36” normally used for other DW drums. These drums are also outfitted with DW’s noteworthy STM (suspension tom mount) system, True-Hoops, True-Pitch 50 thread tension rods and more. With versatility for a great deal of playing situations, Drum Workshop’s new Pure Oak drums offer drummers yet another avenue in the seach for sonic and tonal perfection.
