Neck & Fretboard

Duesenberg's Plek process lets the action be set low while keeping every note clean and buzz-free.

Each fret is measured and leveled with microscopic precision, then finished by hand. Polished frets and softly rounded edges give the neck a smooth, natural and broken-in feel.

Pickups

Duesenberg pickups are known for their clear, versatile voice that cuts through, from mellow jazz to full-on rock without the need for high volumes.

A creamy and dynamic Domino P90 at the neck pairs with a classically voiced and balanced GrandVintage humbucker at the bridge. In the middle position, a custom wiring trims the low end of the humbucker, opening things up for a more airy and responsive tone.

Sapphire Deluxe Vibrato

A serious take on a classic idea.

Smooth to the touch, absolutely stable in tuning, and easy to restring, the Duesenberg Sapphire Deluxe Tremola keeps things simple where it matters. It’s lightweight, responsive, and built to stay out of the way while players perform.

Needle and nylon bearings give it that precise, fluid feel. The arm rotates freely, adjusts to player preference, and the strings thread through cleanly for quick changes.

Nickel Hardware

Most of Duesenberg's hardware is nickel finished.

The geometrical three steps can be found in almost every part of the instruments, from the curves on the headstock to the shape of the output jack.

When compared to regular chrome finishes, nickel has a beautiful warm and elegant sheen and ages naturally over time. It's the way things were done before chrome became the standard. If players don't want the hardware on the instrument to age, Duesenberg recommends regular cleaning.
