Known among players and collectors as “Bursts” and acclaimed for their beauty, smooth playability, and exceptional tone, they are among the most cherished vintage guitars in the world, having appeared in the hands of countless musicians on concert stages worldwide and on numerous hit recordings.

The Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50s Figured is an Inspired by Gibson tribute that lovingly recreates the feel and tone of those legendary instruments. Epiphone’s long-standing connection to Les Paul dates back to 1940, when he built one of the world’s first solidbody electric guitars while working nights at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan. That instrument, nicknamed “the Log,” went on to inspire the Les Paul Standard, widely regarded as one of the greatest electric guitars ever made.

The Les Paul Standard 50s Figured is crafted with a mahogany body and a maple cap topped with a highly figured maple veneer, delivering the rich midrange punch of mahogany paired with the brightness of maple that defines the classic Les Paul sound. The figured veneer provides the striking appearance of a far more expensive instrument.

A mahogany neck with a 1959 Rounded Medium C profile and long neck tenon offers exceptional stability and enhanced sustain. The rosewood fingerboard features pearloid trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. The Kalamazoo headstock is fitted with Epiphone Vintage Deluxe tuners and a Graph Tech® nut for dependable tuning stability.

At the bridge end, strings pass over an Epiphone LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and are anchored by a LockTone™ Stop Bar tailpiece. Electronics include a pair of critically acclaimed Epiphone ProBucker™ humbuckers, with a ProBucker™ 1 in the neck position and a slightly hotter ProBucker™ 2 in the bridge, delivering balanced tone across all three pickup selector positions. The pickups are wired to CTS® potentiometers using 1950s-style wiring and topped with gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers.
