Representing over six decades of Fender design favorites, Alto Music is pleased to present this Fender Custom Shop ‘55 Strat “Parts-Caster.” The ’55 contour body looks like it was stripped of its finish long ago due to the beautiful golden-brown roasted Ash body and clear lacquer topcoat. The Black ‘guard adds a mid-70s look and houses a unique trio of hand-wound custom shop pickups. In the neck position sits a vintage output Alnico 3 magnet pickup for cool clarity and bite. A reverse wound Poblano pickup is strong and articulate in the middle position. Next to the 2-point American Standard-styled bridge, a smokin’ hot El Diablo Alnico V pickup delivers plenty of power and punch. All are controlled by a 5-way blade and Fenders “Vintage Mod #2” wiring—complete with a tone blend cap for keeping the sound full, even when rolling down the volume control.

Rounding out this vintage-inspired high-performance Strat is a maple-capped neck sporting Fenders' famous 56/57 soft V neck profile, with a 9.5” radius ‘board for deep string bends, without choking out. Jescar “Vintage medium” 47095 frets have a similar feel to vintage fret wire, with a bit more width and height for modern playability.
