Within the modern guitar community, the Zuul® is the industry standard for noise gating technology. Here at Fortin, we are never, ever, going to rest on our laurels and are extremely proud to bring you the pinnacle of gating functionality for electric guitar – Zuul®+; the ultimate tool for signal control and gating.
The Zuul®+ takes everything that made the original Zuul® legendary and adds multiple new, essential, features. The first thing we wanted to do was expand the ‘Key In’ functionality (that makes the gate active after OD/Boost pedals, reacting to the pure guitar signal), Zuul®+ now boasts a ‘Key Thru’ (complete with ground lift switch), that eliminates the need to split the signal externally. We have also added all new Hold and Release controls that give you everything you need to ensure you have pristine gating response in your rig.

What's in the Box?

- Key Input and Key-Thru Output: This is a primary feature that allows the noise gate to be controlled by a separate, clean signal from the guitar without needing a separate splitter pedal. The Key-Thru output passes the original clean signal through, making it a standalone solution.
- Hold and Release Controls: These allow for fine-tuning of the gate's behavior.
- Hold: Controls how long the gate stays open after the signal drops below the threshold.
- Release: Determines the fade-out time after the hold period, ranging from a fast, sharp cut to a slower, gentler fade.
- Threshold Control: Adjusts the sensitivity of the gate, determining the signal level required to open it.
- Dual-Color LED: Provides visual feedback on the gate's status:
- Green: Gate is open
- Orange: Gate is closed
- Off: Pedal is in bypass mode
- Ground Lift Switch: Eliminates ground loops, especially useful when using the Zuul+ in a multi-amp or "4-cable method" setup.
- Studio-Quality Performance: Designed to be highly responsive and to eliminate noise without noticeably affecting the guitar's tone or sustain, particularly in high-gain situations.
- Placement Options: Can be used either in front of an amplifier or in an effects loop.
- True Bypass: The pedal remains out of the signal chain when not engaged, preventing any tone loss.
