The CabClone IR PLUS includes 16 MESA Proprietary Cabinet Impulse Responses loaded into two banks of 8 presets:

• BANK A – “LIVE” IRs: Recorded with Dynamic and Ribbon microphones
• BANK B – “STUDIO” IRs: Recorded with Condenser and Ribbon microphones

Each bank contains the same eight popular MESA cabinets in the same order, allowing easy comparison by simply flipping the BANK switch.

Powerful DI + Perfect Power; On-Board Attenuation

The CabClone IR PLUS features a built-in attenuator, allowing you to use your favorite power window to achieve the perfect sound and feel with your chosen Cab Simulation. This powerful attenuation system adds flexibility and convenience beyond others in its class.

• Four power reduction settings plus –0dB/Bypass
• Lowest setting: -16dB with rheostat (pot) for infinite control down to silent/off
• Warning LED alerts you to a No-Load scenario when signal is present

MIDI Control

MIDI (Program Change) messages are supported, providing access to all 16 Cabinet Simulations across the two banks via a standard 5-pin MIDI IN connector. A MIDI THRU passes program change messages to other MIDI-capable devices in your rig.

This allows you to assign different cabinets to different amp channels or sounds. For example:

• Open-Back 2x12 (LIVE BANK) for Clean
• Closed-Back 4x12 (LIVE BANK) for Crunch Rhythm
• Closed-Back 1x12 (STUDIO BANK) for Solo

You can also assign multiple Cab Sims to the same channel for different vibes—such as a ceramic 1x12 for rhythm and an Alnico 1x12 for lead. MIDI compatibility allows instant access via a single controller button.

No Additional Load Box Needed

The Internal Reactive Load provides an impedance-matched (per your purchase selection) safe solution for running without a speaker cabinet or combo speaker. Record direct or send a silent DI signal to FOH/monitor consoles.

You may also use a speaker cabinet simultaneously for stage monitoring without affecting the selected Cab Sim/IR sent to the console.

Third-Party IR Compatibility

In addition to the 16 factory MESA IRs, the CabClone IR PLUS allows you to download and store a large library of third-party IRs in its internal memory.

Via USB connection, the unit appears as a standard file directory on your computer. Simply drag or copy IR files into any of the 16 preset locations across the two banks.

This allows full customization of instantly accessible presets for your recording sessions or live performance sets.
