Designed to serve as a compliment to Benny's original beech signature snare drum, this new brass-shelled model offers the characteristic warmth and roundness typical of high quality brass shells. Pleasant overtones accentuate rim shots, and the unique dimensions that are shared with the beech model serve to give the drum a signature tonality that is unlike any other brass snare. The drum also features the newly developed MonoRail dampening system with two dampeners - a smaller hard felt dampener and a larger soft fleece dampener - to achieve different levels of focus and control. They can be engaged independently of one another, and the dampening surfaces are modular, allowing for further customization of their behavior.
